NEW ORLEANS, LA – New Orleans-based designer, Lakan Golden has released her first collection of made-to-measure womenswear under the signature label, LAKAN. The collection marks Golden’s debut as a custom women's clothier after over a decade of experience designing bespoke, bench-made menswear.

Informed by her expertise in menswear, Golden was inspired to introduce an equally luxurious and immersive experience in womenswear – one where custom fit, thoughtful details and exquisite colors come together to create a timeless, yet modern wardrobing experience.

Embracing the brand’s roots in New Orleans, LAKAN is inspiring a laissez-faire approach to the custom wardrobing experience. The debut March 2023 collection introduces a selection of silhouettes that are both timeless and modern, stylish and functional, offering an essence of structure and uniformity to wardrobe curation.

“I believe there is a subtle art form woven into the energy and thoughtfulness it takes to put yourself together,” said Golden. “There is an air of confidence that can be created by introducing an element of routine and uniformity in your wardrobe. The craftsmanship and detail behind the LAKAN collection is very intentional, with the goal to make it effortless and foolproof for a woman to dress confidently.”
